Sizing a Softener
This Chart will determine the Soft Water Conditioner Size, amounts of salt and days
between regenerating necessary according to grains of hardness, iron content and number of persons in the family.
3 1/2 grains "Hard" or more, when treated with a soft water conditioner profitably will
benefit your home and family.
A recommended maximum iron limit of 0.3 parts per million (P.P.M.) will prevent
objectionable taste to water and laundry staining by water.
A Turbulator® is strongly recommended when iron exceeds 1 P.P.M.
