Valves
There are two basic valve designs to control water flow during the normal service
and regeneration cycles:
- Motor driven
- Solennoid operated
In the motor driven class of valves there are two types:
- Pistons positioned by cams
- Flappers positioned by cams
Controls
The valves are in turn controlled by three different types of controls produce regeneration cycles:
The timer and meter controls can be manually over-ridden in to produce semi-automatic
cycles, i.e., the operator pushes an over-ride button to start the regeneration cycle which then
completes automatically. |
